Accessibility statement

What we've done

• Verified all text-on-background colour pairings meet AA contrast (4.5:1 body, 3:1 large/UI).
• Provided a visible focus indicator on every interactive element, with focus order matching the visual reading order.
• Implemented a “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Used semantic HTML throughout (proper headings, landmark regions, lists, form labels), with no keyboard traps.
• Added ARIA live regions for dynamic content (filter result counts, cart updates, validation errors).
• Generated descriptive alt text for product imagery from structured product data (carat, shape, colour, clarity, certificate).
• Respected the user's prefers-reduced-motion setting throughout — no decorative animation if reduced-motion is requested.
• Tested with NVDA + Firefox, VoiceOver + Safari, and 200% browser zoom.

Known issues

We're actively working on these:

• 360° viewer — keyboard rotation is supported (arrow keys); a static image fallback is provided when JavaScript is disabled. Work to expose the viewer's state to screen readers is ongoing.
• Cookie consent dialog — provided by a third-party (Cookiebot). We've tested keyboard navigability; the focus-trap behaviour depends on their library.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, email accessibility@example.com. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and resolve or provide a workaround within 14 days.

You may also escalate to the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Enforcement

The UK Equality Act 2010 makes it unlawful to discriminate against disabled people. If you are not satisfied with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can advise on next steps.
